Washington Continuing Education Requirements
Washington Administrative Code WAC 308-12-250 Continuing Education Requirements
- To maintain your practice, you must complete 24 professional development hours (PDH) within your 2-year license period.
-
At least sixteen (16) of the 24 PDH must address public health, safety and welfare (HSW).
- If you earn more than 24 PDH in the 2nd half of your license period, up to 12 of the extra hours can be carried over to the following 2-year license period.
Washington Administrative Code WAC 308-12-270 Continuing Education Record Maintenance and Verification
- You must maintain the records of your professional development activities.The records must include the date of the activity, the provider's name, a description of activity and its location and the number of PDH.
- You must keep your records for the cumulative time in the current renewal period plus the three years before the last renewal (five years total).
- By renewing your professional architect license, you attest you have completed the required professional development for that renewal period.
